Hill House Home Haul: The Perfect Holiday Dresses

Hill House Home is a recent find of mine that I’ve been completely obsessed with. With a focus on sustainability, Hill House Home is the creator of the Nap Dress. What is a nap dress? A dress comfy and cute enough to wear anywhere, at anytime. Who wouldn’t want that? They recently had their Black Friday Sale and Stock up special in which these dresses were up to 70% off, so of course I picked up a few dresses I’ve been eyeing.

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll know that I just got back from Scotland. That being said, I have been completely obsessed with tartan designs and patterns as it reminds me of both my trip and my heritage. So when Hill House Home released a holiday collection of tartan Nap dresses? I couldn’t help myself.

The Norah Nap Dress

The first dress that caught my eye is the Norah Nap Dress in Blackwatch Tartan. The dress itself is 100% cotton- which I love since it will hold up longer (and there’s no added chemicals in my clothing). As a history lover, I also love that the pattern is one popularized in the 1700s. Traditionally worn by Scottish soldiers, Blackwatch Tartan is a pattern that anyone can wear (regardless of clan or affiliation). It often symbolizes tradition and bravery.

I love the smocking detail across the chest as well as the slight puff to the sleeves. The silhouette is very feminine, and definitely comfortable enough to take a nap in. 10/10.

The Ellie Nap Dress

The Ellie Nap Dress is perhaps the most popular, unique style from Hill House Home. An A-line dress with ruffled shoulders, smocking, and a tiered midi skirt, this one is gorgeous. I got this style in Multi Tartan- a more vibrant take on classic tartan patterns. At first I wasn’t so sure about this style, but once I tried it on I was hooked. It makes me feel as if I should be frolicking through a field in Scotland, with castles and flowers all around. I love this this one is also 100% cotton- it’s light but with some added weight, giving it a little extra warmth for the winter months. I absolutely love it.

My New Favorite Dresses

I am obsessed with these dresses- they are unmatched in style, comfort, and quality. I’ll be wearing these ones especially for the holiday season- and I can’t wait to try more styles and patterns for the spring and summer.
